Onze – Goodbye Lino

areal054A300pxLino was staring at her. This was last chance for him to save the memory of what will soon be floating forever in the digital ocean. No longer physical, yet still retrievable for everyone. The first human being decomposed into megabits, locked in forever at the other side of the monitor, yet free as never before. All explanation and preparation, we were ready, or at least we all thought that we were ready.

But the moment of truth revealed that it was all worthless, now that she was disappearing in front of his eyes and gradually turning into a percentage value. 89 %, 90 %, 91 %, and from the speakers, you could hear “Goodbye Lino” …

Minimaland Feedback: If you normally listen Areal Records releases you won’t be surprised… Onze leads the decks with deep passionated sounds ready to spread positive feelings among the crowds. We liked it, a lot!

Freedarich & Stiggsen – Lago

Areal052bEach night before bedtime, Freedarich & Stiggsen turn into two giant, radioactive ants. There they are then, obviously enjoying their facet insect eyes. And sometimes, their own ant’s sound inspires them to produce techno music. When Freedarich & Stiggsen want to go out, they turn back into Bohemians again, in order not have to party all alone due to Berlin’s mean bouncers. With their first release on Areal, Friedrich Greiling & Steph Sandeck have come up with a double-A-side. Both sides do not hesitate, they simply take you on a trip. So we had no option but to let the dice decide.

Minimaland Feedback: What a promising start for this duo, Freedarich and Stiggsen are an incredible mysterious surprise, this Ep is a new breath of fresh air through the scene. “Lago”, the first track is a beautiful combination of different pleasures, a melody that will tear you apart, really well created reminding me some of the best times of trance music, the deep beat will complete it for you, if you like music with feeling this is your best choice for this month… fly, fly away. I must confess I can’t stop listening it…! The other one is “Candide”, a darker deeper track that will lead you into a trip through the most rough sides of electronic music. Maybe the most surprising release I’ve listened in the last times, I’ve already bought it, i just hope some of you will do the same…

a1 - Lago

Lexy – The Last Days Of The Glow Worms

cs321502-01b-bigIn the past few days I received this sweet release produced by Lexy Aka Alexander Gerlach, and in fact it’s one of the nicest things I’ve listened in a while. This might be considered the highest step that this German producer took in his career as a producer. Areal is one of the most considered labels in the scene, where expectations are always very high! The Last Days of the Glow Worms doesn’t let it down, it has two fabulous tracks that you will like for sure. In the A side you can count on a great music that will shake the dancefloors, it’s build step by step and everything seems to enter gently into the music to create an unique environment. It’s a monster track, perfect to shake things up in an open air party. In the B side, more of the same… Berlin style all the way in a music that can makes us remember Superpitcher’s best productions. Lexy is on the right way.. I will be waiting for his upcoming releases. Another bet won by Areal Records. Don’t miss it..

The Story of the Glow Worms:

“It really did look a bit weird: a huge, red tower consisting of billions of blazing red glow worms and all this happening right in the middle of Berlin-Kreuzberg. When you got closer to this tower, you were lulled in the ear-deafening buzzing from the exhilarated little animals. The longer the tower was buzzing passively however, the more nervous the people of Berlin became. After all, this absurd natural phenomenon must mean something. Experts were helpless, the people of Berlin confused, religious fanatics from all over the world in uproar. But the only thing people could do was waiting to see what was going to happen…”
