Highgrade is, from a long time, one of my favorite labels! Their work has been immaculate over the last years and every release they launch is literally music to my ears! On their 65th release they brought in, once again, Tom Clark, the Berlin based producer who has been having quite good releases recently, and this one isn’t the exception. The first track is the main one, “Scorpio” a complete turn on to every mnml appreciator. The track starts smooth, with a 4 x 4 beat, sparkling synths and a deep bassline but rapidly develops into an exciting hypnotic addiction! Huge! The 2nd one is “Albino”… if you don’t really know what minimal tech house means, this might be one of it’s best examples. It starts only with the beat and every element goes entering one by one creating an enormous will to dance. His massive attention for detail is well represented in this one. A track perfectly produced, with dancefloor appeal, just like Highgrade has been habituating us. “Sand Flea” ends up the Ep in a very particular way, a very enjoyable track, like the name suggests. If you like to be in the top of the mainstream minimal scene don’t miss this release, I have no doubts that will have an huge success in every deck it plays! Supported by  Magda, Gregor Tresher, Monika Kruse, Jens Bond, Martin Eyerer, Konrad Black, 3 Channels, Benno Blome, Lauhaus, Karotte and many more…

After a magnificent Ep produced by Benno Blome and Tom Clark – “Pheromonia”,  Highgrade records is back with another top release, this time with Markus Schatz and Brett Longman at the decks. Schatz is known by his work on labels like Opossum records, while Brett Longman, from Paris, has a few good works at Logistic Rec, among others. “Dope On Plastic Ep” brings something more from them, this is a high class production with the most challenging stripped down percussive mnml there can be. All the 4 tracks are beautifully constructed and will be certain hits to be appreciated at the most exclusive dancefloors. Dubby and funky elements, low synths, great kicks, detroit roots, deep melodies, unexpected rhythms, amazing constructions, you can count with all of this in the Ep. Highgrade always brings the most freshest techno in the scene and this release is not an exception. Another fabulous work from one of the best labels in the market. A must have

Highgrade Records is definately one of our favorite labels around mnmland. In their second release during 2009, they invited one of their usuals, Tom Clark, to duo up with Benno Blome, old schoold producer, owner of Sender records. The two German artists combined their skills perfectly to launch a bomb named “Pheromonia”. The Ep also includes a remix of this track performed by Andomat 3000 and two digital only tracks – “Rumble Fish” (original and Tom Clark dub edit).
In the a side you can count on traditional groovy rhythm, genuinly produced to be spread at the clubs, transmiting incredible vibes. Its a great one, demanding us to Dance! In the B side Andomat 3000 turns the original into a more underground one, with a more subtle production that will suit perfectly in danceable environments, no so much at clubs like the A side, but it will certainly cause great effects in darker floors. It’s also a very pumpy one so i guess you’ll like them both. The digital only track is also very good, techy all the way with an incredible bassline and a non stopping rhythm. The Dub Edit done by Tom Clark turns it even more groovy and paced…  I advice you to buy them all. If you are one of those who still don’t know Highgrade Records, this is your best chance to do it. Top quality release.
