Cecille Numbers imprint is celebrating 20 months of existence and, to this particular month, they invited Lemos, who has also released their first EP, a great successful two part series one that we mentioned here at Minimaland. After eleven releases including names like Robert Dietz, Livio & Roby, Anthea & Celler, Kreon and many others, Cecille Numbers finishes 2009 with a massive release from the Greek producer. It all starts with “Nice & Clean”, a bassmonster pumpy track that will be the delight of every dancefloor. Already in this track you start to feel the unique style of Lemos that it’s also present in the 2nd track “Bebe Fefe”, this time getting a little more techy, evolving through underground environments, but never forgetting those jazzy samples that he so much likes. Ending up the party comes “Monstarda”, a typical production on Lemos repertoire, very similar to the first, but a little bit more tedious. So, get your own copy of this Ep and celebrate new year’s eve in great style.

It’s been a long time since we didn’t have a release from Mr Lemos the genius Greek producer that, along with Kreon, have been talked by everyone during last year. Na Funky Kotes Ep has been released by Quantized Music,a new independent label from Athens “aiming to release high quality modern electronic dance music”. So, on their 3rd release George Lemos shows up to launch two tremendous tracks full of quality and sophisticated rhythms. It all starts with the original mix of “Na Funky Kotes”, following the normal standards of this producer, with lots of live bass grooves , some jazz imprints (in this case, the clarinet) and really good breaks followed by the natural pumpy recycling of the track. This is something that you’ll full understand only if you have a great soundsystem because the multi-layered bassline demands it, it has such an incredible kick and a weird fascinating melodic cut that could only be created by this amazing guy. “Some Groove” runs through more calm strains but it doesn’t forget the funky bleeps and the jazzy loops creating, again, an extreme groovy feeling. The Ep ends with a remix from Swiss producer David Keno. On his version of “Na Funky Kotes” he approaches a more minimal way of doing things, maintaining the jazz melodic moments of the first, making them more subliminal, not as enthusiast, but more directed to club night djaing. Both versions are extremely well producer and are strongly supported by minimaland team. “We couldn’t expect anything less”!

The duo is back in the game. Masomenos present Matou Ep to delight all of you. If you don’t know this unknown project from France you should be ashamed of yourself.  This guys are the revolution, everything they do seems to be magnificent and this is another example of their fine deliverance. To raise the bets higher they invited another amazing producers to remix the first track, they are Kreon & Lemos, the Greek duo, one of the best things that happened in the scene during 2008. Matou Ep is filled with 3 tracks, all of them in the cutting edge of minimal techno.
I’ll start with the last cause that’s my favorite one… “One Inch a Day” has got a vocal that we all known ( i don’t remember from where…) and a rude dry beat that makes everything else look obsolete… it’s surely the purest thing i listened during January… i can’t get tired of it! The  beat, omg the beat! Unmissable. “Hands Up” remixed by Masomenos, Kreon and Lemos is the track that opens up the Ep and it’s also a very nice one, lot’s of pumpy energy and the typical Kreon & Lemos deep beat, perfect to enhance the groove among the dancefloor. “NY” follows through the same paths! … The major key of this album and the reason why i’m posting this here is “One Inch A Day”, the track of the year so far! The Crazy Greeks are our first choice as featured artists here in our new space!
Why? Well, because they brought up a complete new style, very personal that we so much appreciate! Their recent releases kept our expectations to the future high! Kreon with “Gagnant” and Lemos with his double release on Cecille Numbers continued to surprise us with perfect performances… so the future is rising for this two guys… and they deserve it!

This Ep “Lookooshere” is probably my favourite peace of 2008 – so far, it represented a kind of new magic to me, very unique and appreciated. Lemos & Kreon are at the moment the artists i like the most, and i’m always aware of their new releases. Lookoshere was their first big work and it shouldn’t be forgotten!

“Resopal Red series are back, this time with something completely different. They brought Markos Spanoudakis – Kreon – and George Laimos – Lemos – to their cabins and they managed it pretty good. A side presents the most deep solid music made by these Greek guys. The amazing piano in the track is capable to bring you the most exquisite nostalgic feelings you can imagine. A weird track, but very very pretty. “Lyly Peeptoes” in the b side reminds me those great Saint Germain tracks. Jazzy deep house at it’s best perfect to be listened in Luciano or Ricardo Villalobos set’s. “Stalega” is also a great groove with a fine percussion, finishing this album beautifully. This is minimal art, in a total new musical style. It couldn’t be forgotten here in the mnmland. Hope you like it, i sure did!”
