Alex Under – Muscle Tracks II

alex under muscle tracksAfter a long time Alex Under is back to minimaland with what might be his best work of the year. We have been following this Spanish producer’s career for a long time, it were Eps like “Multiplicanciones” or “Las Bicicletas Son Para el Verano” that turned him who he is today and, in this release, Alex Under seems to be back to his best shape! “Muscle Tracks II” is full of energy, funky rhythms and insane grooves that you will taste in all the 3 tracks. It all starts with a potent “Mustang” setting up the course to a fantastic evening of strong, hallucinated and fast tracks. In the flipside the famous 80’s “Charger” keeps the race in full speed changing the hallucinated rhythm of the “Mustang” for a deep mysterious groove for you to pedal on. Last but not the least comes the charismatic Pontiac “Firebird” closing the race, this one is not running for power, he has shown up just to exhibit all his class and style.

Blind Minded – Tekatek Ep

cs352087-01a-bigThe Trapez limited series  are back again, this time with a British producer – Blind Minded – bringing us an outstanding work with two top tracks. The first delicacy starts with a 4×4 dry beat and some neurotic sample. It gets even more interesting when the vocals show up… the guy speaking seems to teach us something about how to produce a music, just showing how easy is to produce a good track (is it really that easy?). B side bring us Clap in Time, a tribal step by step minimal track, typical to listen at the best clubs and that will work perfectly in the houses with those perfect sound systems. The jazzy inputs work beautifully and the bassline demands dancing! Trapez showing once again top choices with Blind Minded. Clean release, not a blind bet!

Amir – Communicate

333After some great feedback about his last work released on 8-Bit “Jazz Loops Ep”,Mr Rimah Khalouf aka Amir debuts on Trapez Limited Series with another great piece of good taste. In this release he comes up with two very pleasant tracks and a Into That remix by Piemont.
“Epopoe” was the one that really captivate me, it’s a massive 11 minutes tech house bomb with a huge percussion and some hypnotic samples that will leave you stunned, a true master piece. “Haptic” travels trough house waves, it’s clearly not as pumpy as the other one but it also has got a high quality of production. To end up the release, Piemont came up with a funky remix of “Haptic” (I think this one is only available on digital format, but i’m not sure) with the typical groove that the dancefloors seem to like, a clean beat, nice bassline and let’s party..

TG aka Tim Green – Mr Dry

Trapez are back to their basics!
Tim Green is the featured artist on their 90th edition and I can say to you that he managed to do a very good work on this one! We were already missing this kind of work that Trapez normally brings us so this release gave us all that we hoped for!
This producer, based in London, has released most of his work on Four:Twenty Records and now he presents us two groovy tracks, made to make everyone dance! In The A side we have “Mr Dry” that starts very gently only with a small beat but once the elements start entering into the music it doesn’t stop any more! It’s a track with a great bassline, a perfect flow and some neurotic dark elements to drive your head into the other side! I normally don’t like voices in the songs but this one has a spooky acapella that fits very well in it so it’s another turn on for this great track! In the B side don’t expect less… “Glow Worm” brings even more power and enthusiasm! I confess that this one is my favorite… it has an explosive beat and such an incredible rhythm, and in the middle of the track the feelings turn even more aggressive and than you will feel in techy heaven!
For you that used to like Trapez releases, i really advice you to listen this one. It has all that we normally require in music and you will surely like it. Great British production.

a1 – Mr Dry
b1 – Glow Worm
